Lords of Time, Myths and Legends

Lord Mickey Hebert, the Lord of Misrule sounded the whistle to begin Ball Mask XVIII as the krewe welcomed in the new millennium.  International Mr. Leather 2000, Mike Taylor read the proclamation to begin the presentations. Our own Viscount Pat O'Rorke served as the Master of Ceremonies.  As tradition dictates the return of Lord King XVII Damon Veach and Lord Consort  XXIV Sam Favaro ushered in the beginning of the costume tableau. The Lord of Time was presented by Lord Mickey Hebert, Lord of MisRule (Ball Captain).  The Lord Temporal (Ball Lieutenant) presented the Egyptian God RE. The parade of myths and legends continued and included Xena the Warrior Princess, The Cave Man, Pan the mythical forest creature, Genghis Khan, Joan of Arc, Thor and Hercules. The ball culminated in the lowering to the stage 'from on high' Lord King XVIII, Lord Timm Holt as God and Lord Consort XVIII Lord Matt Scott as His Creation.  The traditional grand march closed out the night as the krewe members celebrated the first ball mask of the new millennium.   Photo Album.
