The Lords of Leather hosted one of their most spectacular tableau balls themed "A Lordly Celestial Evening" on the Sunday evening prior to Mardi Gras 2009.  The program opened as the krewe proclamation was read by Mr. Louisiana Leather 2009 John Cauley.  The curtains opened and the auditorium welcomed the return of Lord King XXV Lord Michael Ducote and Lord Consort XXV Lord Doug Minich.  The royal court were seated and the stage was prepared for this celestial evening.  The Lord of Misrule Ball Captain), Lord David Boyd filled the room with stars as "The North Star."  As the captain's program opened he explained that the krewe's guest would travel on a magical voyage through three ancient civilizations; The Chinese, The Egyptian and the Myan.
